We are seeking 2 Research Assistants to work at ANETI in ELTE KRTK. The projects will focus on the dynamics of collaboration networks within companies and the socio-economic impact of communication networks in cities. The positions are starting in November 2025 (or upon agreement) and are open until August 2026 (with possible extension). We are interested in receiving applications from junior colleagues. The positions will cover 10 hours per week, but can be extended.
The Research Assistants will
- work at the ELTE KRTK, located in Budapest,
- participate in the Momentum project of Balázs Lengyel,
- actively collaborate with other group members, international collaborators, and business partners in carrying out the research projects,
- process and clean collaboration and communication data sets,
- prepare statistical and network analyses and visualizations,
- present the results at leading data science and field conferences,
- participate in the writing of papers for leading interdisciplinary journals, leading field journals in business, economics, geography, sociology or related fields.
Salary and compensation:
The positions will offer a competitive salary compared to research assistant compensations in Hungary.
Eligibilities:
- BSc qualification or equivalent in economics, social science, computer science, physics.
- Command and of programming languages (Python or R).
- Experience in working with longitudinal or large data sets.
- Knowledge in statistical methods.
- Ability to communicate work in English.
Advantages:
- Experience in network analysis.
- Ongoing MSc studies in computational social science, applied economics, statistics, computer science, physics or related fields.
- Affinity to interdisciplinary research.
- Proficiency in Hungarian language.
