Sándor Juhász won an NKKP Starting Grant for Networks of Economic Dependence: firms, products and locations. The project combines value-added tax (VAT) records with other unique datasets to map networks of economic dependencies that reveal how firms expand or narrow their product portfolios, how regional clusters evolve and trade globally, and how urban economies are structured through supply and demand linkages. By uncovering these patterns, the research aims to explain the mechanisms behind economic success, failure, and transformation across different levels of the economy.
