BIO

Gergely Mónus is a sociologist-statistician from Budapest. He has a BA in Sociology and my MSc in Survey Statistics and Data Analytics at Eötvös Loránd University. After graduation he found a position as a statistician at the Section of Housing Statistics HCSO, where he works in the development and improvement of statistical indicators and indices of real estate market and housing development processes. He started his PhD in sociology at Corvinus University Budapest in 2021, where he is doing research on internal migration networks and urban development in Hungary. His research interest lies in the intersection of cities, agglomerations, migration, and generally the spatial aspects of social stratification.
