Dániel Kondor (MIT ILP Department of Urban Studies and Planning): New perspectives in modelling urban mobility

Abstract | Technological advancements of recent years bring about opportunities for both the modelling and the radical restructuring of urban transportation systems. In this presentation I give an overview of trends and their possible consequences. I present two, closely related research, tha aim to model the possible impact of completely or partially self-driving vechicles based on real and simulated mobility data. This research projects that there are several uncertain factors in the structure and functioning of future cities, which often merit further expolrative research.
