Dima Yankova was the organiser of a full-day workshop on "Pathways to Future Regional Development" hosted at the Austrian Institute of Economic Development (WIFO) in Vienna on May 20, 2025.

The workshop was realised within the framework of a two-year research network called SPRINT funded by the Regional Studies Association that Dima is coordinating along with colleagues from the University of Utrecht and London School of Economics. The workshop gathered around 20 participants from academia, the private sector and international organisations such as the UNDP.

It also featured two keynote speakers: Prof. Riccardo Crescenzi (LSE) and Ljubica Nedelkoska (Complexity Science Hub Vienna), who shared their recent work on green(ing) FDI and economic integration of migrants.
